Canaqua Sports to host two events at the Welland Canal

 

Canaqua Sports is proud to announce the addition of the Welland SwimRun Challenge and the Welland Canal Open Water Swim to its growing list of events for the 2017 summer season.

 

On August 13, Canaqua Sports is proud to be hosting the Welland Canal Open Water Swim at the Welland International Flatwater Centre. With the retirement of the previous race director, Canaqua Sports has taken over this event and is looking to make this one of the premier open water races in Canada. Having successfully launched the Canaqua Sports Open Water Swim Series in 2015, and with the ever growing popularity of SwimRun events around the world, Canaqua Sports decided to add a second SwimRun Challenge event to its schedule as it works to grow this sport within Ontario. With the proximity of the Welland location, to Toronto, we believe that this will be an exceptional location in which to host our second SwimRun event.
