A Message From Our Coach Dan: Why the use of pace clocks is important...

When swimming using the pace clock is an important aspect of the practice.. it allows you to see how well you are doing in a practice and over the course of the month/year. It also allows the coach to keep track how are you are swimming and where in the set you are.

How to use the pace clock.

***Please ONLY use the red arrow!

The biggest thing with a pace clock is to know when you have left and when you are supposed to leave for the next part of the set.
If you are not paying attention to when you left, you will get lost in hurry.
Please also read ahead in the practice so if you are close to missing a time you can get right into the next part of the set.

During a practice it is also important to follow pace times. If they are too slow and you are looking to go on a faster pace, please do not do this WITHOUT telling your lane mates or mentioning it to the coach. This will avoid confusion in the set.
