City of Hamilton Update as of Friday March 13, 2020

 

We are NOT a "City-run program" and I have NOT been notified of any pool closures.

Here is what the City of Hamilton has posted on their website today:

 Closures & Impacts from Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)

We are not closing any City facilities as this time, however we are cancelling all City-run programs and events, including public engagement events, from now until, and inclusive of, April 5, 2020. Assume that all City-run programming and events have been cancelled, even if they do not see them listed on the City’s website. We will do our best to keep the site as up to date as possible as decisions are made.

I have contacted Alex and as of now  (3:30 pm) our plan is that we WILL be swimming tonight, and if the pools remain open, the Saturday swim will be on tomorrow (March 14) at 12 noon as planned.
 As time goes on I will update our membership by email as soon as I hear of any rental cancellations or changes to our swim club plans. Please watch for changes on the City of Hamilton website: Look for the orange tab at the top of their home page marked "Closures and Impacts..."
